With a growing popularity, funding also becomes an issue: various APIs are free for a smaller amount of queries and then cost above a certain amount of requests.

Administration Interface
At the moment, I do a lot of data acquisition (channels meta data, online maps data) by hand in phpMyAdmin. It lacks a generally accessible entry form on the web.
User Management
Instead of working with cookies only, it would be much better, if the users could register and all user specific information could be handles online. This affects favourite channels, locations, and map sites.
